The Dárdano de Andrade Lima Herbarium, whose international acronym is MOSS, was founded in 1980 through
"Flora do Nordeste" project. He possesses thematic collection with 90% of the 9800 registers proceeding from Rio Grande do Norte
State. In the collection are represented groups of the Cryptogams: Algae, Bryophytes and Pteridophytes and Phanerogams: Gymnosperm and
Angiosperm. Angiosperm is best represented group, with 109 of the Dicot families and 29 of the Monocots. The MOSS Herbarium is opened
to loans, exchanges, donations and identifications.
