The arthropod collection of the Bioscience Institute of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (PANTANALBIODAT/CAP/UFMT) comprises the most important organismic DATA BASE of the Pantanal region (Myriapoda: > 2000 specimens, Arachnida: > 3000 specimens, Insecta: > 18000 taxa of various taxonomic levels (genus and / or species). This collection is a result of 13 years of intensive field work by scientists of the Laboratory of Ecology and Taxonomy of Arthropods (LETA) in various Pantanal habitats.

Biologists, national and international, are invited to use the data for their scientific work. Data of taxa under present study by researchers associated with the UFMT will be made available only upon request.
