Visualization of the values equivalent to the decimal part of the coordinate
The coordinates in decimal degrees vary between 0 and 0.9999. Therefore, when points are concentrated between 0 and 0.6 both in longitude and latitude it is probably correct to assume that the coordinates are in degrees, minutes and seconds.

Records that probably have conversion errors: 3
To try and identify records with possible conversion errors, the system assumes that the original data is in degrees, minutes and seconds and converts it to decimal degrees and checks to see whether the new coordinate occurs within the informed municipality. If it does, the system presents a table with the original locality data informed by the collection, the new converted coordinate, and plots the result on a map where the curator can visualize both points. This tool is only available for points that occur in Brazil and is more eficient in the case of small counties or municipalities. As with all other data cleaning tools, this is just an indicative that there may be a mistake. It is the responsibility of the curator to evaluate and validate the data.

Visualization of the decimal part of the original geographic data, converted to decimal degrees.
This second diagram is only important if the first one presented a great concentration of points with values smaller then 0.6.
