The lack of standards and spelling errors are a constant problem when computerizing herbaria data. This database of plant collectors in Brazil was designed to offer a source of information for taxonomic projects and to help in the digitizing process of herbaria and included collectors that have worked in Brazil, regardless of their country of origin. This work ended when the project that was supporting it ended. The database and documents are kept online for historical purposes.
